Over the last few months,we at Outski have combined some favorite travel quotes with some images that motivate people to want to travel. We have compiled these quotes and images below.
7. "Where health is the destination, wellness is the journey."
This is a perfect quote for what Outski represents. Not only are we promoting travel in an economically responsible way, but we are encouraging Americans to strive to achieve a healthy work/life balance, and a healthy lifestyle in general.
6. "A vacation is having nothing to do and all day to do it in."
Many employees take their work with them on a vacation. This seems like a simple and straightforward statement, but this is something that does not ring true for many people. We are working to change this.
5. "There are no foreign lands, it is only the traveler who is foreign."
It is amazing what one can learn from different cultures and places, just by traveling.
4. "A ship in harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for."
A life without travel is boring! If we spend our days slaving away for our jobs, and do not make time to recharge, decompress, and HAVE FUN, life becomes monotonous and WE become boring. It may be a "safe" way to go through life, but it is not what we are meant to do in this life. We must push ourselves out of our comfort zones and continue learning and experiencing new things. This is what makes people well-rounded, interesting, and fun to be around.
3. "When all else fails, take a vacation."
Have you had a particularly trying time in your life recently, or some major life event happen? It seems the way many people commemorate such things is by taking a trip. Sometimes they are trips full of happiness, fun and family. Other times they are trips to reconnect with oneself and what's important after a death or a breakup; to come back to regular life with a clean slate. No matter the occurrence, it seems that people who do so are always glad they took some time to get away during these times.
2. "My favorite thing to do is to go where I've never been."
Have you ever visited a new place, near or far, and been fascinated by its beauty, or how different it is from your home town? I remember traveling to Prescott, a city in northern Arizona, and being completely blown away at how different it was from my hometown in southern AZ. It was only a few hours away, yet it looked so vastly different, from the style of homes to the beautiful, mature trees and flowers. I will never forget this experience, and how it made me feel to soak in the beautiful nature surrounding me.
1. "To travel is to live." -Hans Christian Anderson
When you open your eyes to the similarities and differences of different parts of the world, you expand your horizons in so many ways. Hearts and minds are opened, and people become more connected than you may have thought before. Again, it may be safe to stick to what you know, but when you travel, you stretch your mind in more ways than you could ever imagine.
